NuVasive: Changing Lives Across the Globe Since 2009

The NuVasive Spine Foundation has been one of our greatest allies in our effort to bring life-changing spine surgery to disadvantaged communities the world over. We work together frequently as we share deeply held values—we believe that it is our responsibility to bring our expertise in orthopaedic surgery to those who need it most.

NuVasive’s focus is on providing access to high quality medical treatment to individuals around the globe. They work together with other surgeons to create spine treatment programs that not only help people in need, but also serve to advance the quality of spine care to disadvantaged communities in general.

Why NuVasive’s work is important

Back and neck pain can be so severe that it inhibits an individual’s ability to live a normal, productive life. It’s also a very frequent complaint at doctor’s offices—second only to the common cold. People all over the world suffer from back and neck pain, but only some are fortunate enough to have access to quality care. Many people in disadvantaged communities do not have the opportunity to seek help for their conditions and suffer a lifetime of chronic, and often debilitating pain.

How NuVasive Accomplishes their Mission

NuVasive focuses on three things:

  • They coordinate surgical training missions to perform surgery on patients in need while educating and training local surgeons to do advanced surgeries.
  • Missions like Orthopaedic Link’s are supported and sponsored through surgical products and cash donations.
  • Disadvantaged patients in the United States also receive help through product donations.

Orthopaedic Link is always happy to have the opportunity to work with the NuVasive Spine Foundation. Visit http://nuvasivespinefoundation.org/ to learn more about their important work.
